FM-152  Stephenson's Depot

by Joe Shaffer, Johnny Reb 2.75, 4 hrs, 4 players, Some exp

II Corps has deployed one division to protect a spur of the B&O Railroad (the Winchester-Potomac River Spur). There are two problems with this deployment. First, the division’s position puts it more than 20 miles from the nearest friendly troops and source of supply. Second, the spur is not in operating condition. Finally, Washington has prevailed upon the corps commander to order Couch’s withdrawal, if a bit late. This scenario has been "upgraded" to make it more even sided. Still, it represents one of the only times a Civil War division had to engage in combat directly from the march.

by Richard Schwartz, Skirmish Sangin, 3 hrs, 8 players, Newcomers

March 18, 2007, Helmond Province, Afghanistan. For days, a pesky Taliban has been sniping at your marines on patrol. A local snitch has revealed the location of the sneaky little turd in one of the villages near the town of Maiwand. You and your platoon of marines are to rid the area of the sniper. For some reason, after two tours of duty, you doubt it's going to be that easy. Indeed, this "turd" isn't that easy to flush... If you like skirmish level modern combat with a mix of role play, Skirmish Sangin is a great combat system for you! This is one on one, do or die combat using lethal weapons, body armor, and an activation system that makes fire team coordination as challenging as real life combat. 20 MM scale.

In two years aircraft had improved significantly in armament, ruggedness, and maneuverability. Aircraft such as the Sopwith Camel and Fokker D VII are used in the 1918 scenario.
